TESTIMONIALS

"The class met and surpassed my expectations - I was not prepared to be able to move that much more easily so quickly." (Upper Back, Neck & Shoulders Series)

Sally / Retired

“Yoga enables me to turn my head. I was unable to do that for a very long time. I have arthritis and it helps tremendously with mobility and flexibility. I also have a very stressful job and I am finding Joanne’s relaxation techniques becoming increasingly helpful.

I could go on and on about the benefits not just of yoga but yoga with you!!! I have had a teacher that was not great. You don’t realize the difference sometimes until you come across someone exceptional like Joanne. The difference is like night and day.”

How it works

I use somatic movements and a therapeutic approach to classic yoga exercises in the Viniyoga Lineage that use the weight of your body to create strength. It's also a very effective form of neuro-muscular retraining that alleviates chronic pain and improves physical functioning, posture and mobility.

This approach stands out from other forms of bodywork (acupuncture, massage, chiropractic) in that it relies upon your participation to provide sensory feedback, not just to muscles and nerves, but to the brain.
